A Victorian primary school teacher has admitted using social media to trick children into sending him sexually explicit photos.
Timothy Patrick Cordova, of Rowville, pleaded guilty in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday to 17 offences.
The 26-year-old admitted using Instagram to receiving child abuse material between February and June last year 11 times.
He also pleaded guilty to soliciting images on the social media app three times and producing child abuse material twice.
His computer and hard drives were found to contain more depraved images when they were searched by police.
Cordova pleaded guilty to possession.
He had been charged with 67 offences but 50 were dropped in a plea deal.
The court previously heard Cordova posed as a girl named “Matilda Roberts” to speak to children and ask them to send him intimate content.
He will next appear in the County Court on May 4.
